Tracky Dacks Fashion Event - Part 1

Not an item usually associated with high fashion, the humble tracky dack was skilfully turned into a must have designer item by some of Australia's most talented designers to raise money for children's charity TLC. TLC founder Tim Conolan enlisted the help of fashion expert Sarah Gale to create an event which would raise awareness and money to assist TLC help nurture the emotional wellbeing of children undergoing medical treatment.

TLC helps bring back fun and normality to children facing illness or injury by organising special gifts or surprises, or even covering the cost of getting a child's parents to hospital to be with their child. TLC is the only organisation of its kind in Australia and pride themselves on having no waiting lists, with all requests met within 48 hours.

The Tracky Dacks event symbolised getting children out of their pyjamas and into tracky dacks and back into normal life. MC'ed by Sarah Gale, a fashion parade entertained the crowd, with models wearing almost unrecognisable tracky dacks. The designer trackies were then auctioned off with all proceeds going to TLC.

Stay tuned for a post covering the stylish attendees of the event!
